What a day! gets email from G. Gygax, and I get an LJ comment from you!

But in my own defense, you neglected to mention the Oak Island Money Pit column, and surely Norumbega gets a half point.

You don't need any defending on this page. I'm a big big fan. And there are actually 7 or 8 STs that at least mention Canada. I was just indulging The National Canadian Pasttime, ie, stamping our little feet and wishing that Americans paid more attention to us.

Oh, wow, those are good. Super good.

They are good names, aren't they? "Man Without Blood" - how would somebody get given that name? I hope you enjoy the other alternates, and take the imitation of ST in the spirit of sincere admiration in which it's intended.

In real history, eight of Riel's Indian confederates were hung for their part in his 1885 rebellion: Wandering Spirit, Iron Body, Little Bear, Walking the Sky, Crooked Leg, Miserable Man, Bad Arrow, and Man Without Blood. If those names don't get you thinking about avenging undead Indian super teams, then you and I must be very different
people...

It's nice of Jere to say my version is better, because they're actually shockingly identical. I mean, "ghost rock" was an intentional steal, but the Black Donnellys and even the piranha mice (which I thought I got from John Robert Colombo, collector of trivia and weird Canadiana) are in there. Merde.

Hi! Good to "meet" you. Welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy the rest of the alternates, though I hardly recommend them as anyone's RDA of Canadian history. Heritage Minute, we ain't.

I'm not receiving "Beaver" over here in England. You know what I'm talking about.
must ...resist! ...obvious! ...joke!

This is very exciting stuff. I miss Canadian history these days, since I'm not receiving "Beaver" over here in England. You know what I'm talking about.
I didn't know the names of the Indians hung with Riel-- as Jack Horner says, "Those are. . . great names!" I will have to write a group of poems about them.
And happy belated Canada Day! Looking forward to the other alternates.

Hey Rob,

Have you added my college roommmate as a Friend yet? I realize just because you're Canadian, there's no reason you'll necessarily dig each other's journal, but I read stuff like this and want to point him here. :)

Zombie Smackdown! will have Canada with zombies. Wrestling zombies, mind you, but still zombies. And since I got my revisions to the Japanese chapter in this weekend we may see it sometime this year.
