Well, you could call it "history," but at least the LPGA is real, Bruce.

Also: Jill Lepore! Good call. Her work is great and she definitely strives to reach a wider audience (through things like Commonplace and now her excellent pieces in the New Yorker). I must admit I've never read any Robin Kelley but I will check him out.

I think Jill Lepore has some real potential--I've loved her books' march from the colonial period toward the present (going by titles--haven't read them yet). She's already landed New Yorker spots. Too bad Robin D.G. Kelley is too radical for the American establishment, or I'd also nominate him.

And hey, I just didn't-quite-live-blog this weekend's (and Monday's) LPGA event at Mostly Harmless. (Bill Benzon had the good taste to put a couple of YouTube links up afterwards to push it down the page.) At least you were dealing with history, right?
